Pan-American Highway
- the road would be designed to con nect the countries of the Americas, north of Alaska, through Cent ral America, the South of Argentina. In fact, it is a system of r oads and highways connected in series and sometimes in parallel w ith each other so as to connect most countries of the Americas. The total length of the entire route, calculated from the Arctic Circle in Alaska to the city of Ushuaia in Argentina, is approximately 25750 km. In addition to this route Panamericana has many branches connecting the majority of the countries of South America.
